I worked at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The pay was steady and since you were under a contract you knew that you had a paycheck each month. Plenty of benefits from housing allowance, meal pay, and if you served overseas you can get cost of living pay. Getting to know so many people from different parts of the world and also to gain a professional trade that can be used once I left the military.

Cons

It's not forever. At some point you will have to get out and the reality of life kicks in. Many rules to follow and this can stress some people out.

I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Travel, job security, individuals have the opportunity to futher their education at alomst no cost. They gain valuabe training and imporve ther supervisory, management and leadership skills. For those who like to trave will have the opportunity to travel and live overseas such as Europe, Aisa to name a few places.

    Cons

Long hours work does not stop because it is quiting time, work is done when the job is finished. Most individuals only work a 8 hour shift, here one could work 20-24 hours at atime it will depend on the mission. many individuals will be away from family during the holodays, and other special eevnts.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people. The people that work for management make things happen and with out them it is difficult to complete the mission. The welfare of each individual is important to everyone, it could affect the overall mission so a happy member and family if they have one the increased work outpu they will accomplish.
