I have been working at US Airways

Pros

Upbeat and positive work atmosphere.
Exciting and dynamic work environment.
Travel benefits (if your able to get on a flight)

Cons

Lack of mentoring leads to slow internal progression.
US will pay a premium to attract new talent, but once you're in the system, if you are below director level, annual increases (even for superior performance) don't keep up with inflation.

Real life situations, mostly a respectful work place with pretty good team work orientated employees with simular goals

    I worked at US Airways

    Pros

Workplace and employees are mostly respectful. Shift work with some ability to customize schedule. Decent health, flying and other benefits. Some overtime or ability to pick up additional shifts.

    Cons

Industry decimated by "9-11"; utilizing more smaller planes for less flights, less employees (more efficient ?), Just enough pay/hour to survive. Employees may be stuck on 2nd shift for a long time. No more pension plan, 401k plan is weak but available. Jet-A fumes/soot on your clothes (and in your lungs) may be harmful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget that employees are people too. Remember to continue be human first and throw out an "adda-boy" now and then to keep moral in a positive direction.
