We are a family environment and work well together

Money is not as good as other airlines

Listen to your team they can get your flights out on time with teamwork with management

    I have been working at US Airways full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    You get to put a Fortune 500 on your resume.

    Cons

    The pay is low
    The flight benefits in theory are great, but with the industry reducing capacity good luck finding seats
    Promotions tend to occur based on who is the most airline "nerdy" and not who is best equipped to lead or manage, which as you can imagine can create problems. I don't fault the individuals, just believe the flaw in the logic to promoting puts them in position to fail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Perform an analysis on the cost of paying better to retain employees vs. the output you get from lesser experienced, inferior labor plus training costs.
    Revisit your promotion logic and/or look into training your managers on how to be managers

    Pros

    I need to think about this. I have worked for more than 4 years and can't find any Pros unless if you want travel benefits which I never wanted.

    Cons

    Worst politics, worst management & no employee appriciation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You guys are blessed just because there are many talented employees still working and if you want to keep them then start appriciating them (no!! not just by words but by action). Listen what they have to say, create employee "voice survey" and do something about them. Don't just focus on sales, marketing and customers because you won't able to handle any of those if you won't have good employee.

    I had to quit my job and slap on sr. management just to show that an employee can fire the employer :)
