I worked at US Airways full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

There is a supportive work environment with strong moral between employees. There is a great commitment by the company and the employees to community involvement and volunteerism. Travel benefits are a nice perk if you can find an empty seat on a plane when and where you want to go.

Cons

There is no clear defined path for advancement or to the next opportunity. It is difficult to find openings and move between departments to gain experience and advance skills. The compensation is drastically below market value at other companies.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership training and opportunities need to be made available to more employees. Succession planning is not something that just be talked about but implemented with follow through providing real growth potential.
