Varied greatly as the airline industry changed. Frequent change in management created weak corporate culture.

I worked at US Airways full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

The travel benefits are fantastic! Flexibility in schedule. Predominantly fun people to work with.

Cons

Airlines are in the marturity phase...as are the employees, poor morale gets a bit exhausting. Unfortunately there is a huge disconnect with management and the employee groups.

    Pros

    Get control over your project.
    Managers work hard for you.
Maintenance guys are (usually) really great.

    Cons

A small percentage (very few) of the maintenance guys are really into union. It is to the point that you will get in trouble for saying hi to the wrong people. Most of the guys are great, but the few crazy ones are enough to drive you nuts.
