Pros

A great place to work in order to help Soldiers. Fort Knox, Kentucky is a wonderful Army installation to work with fellow legal professionals who are truly professionals in all senses of the word.

Cons

Flexibility is required in order to succeed. The Army has an enormous number of variables which impacty how it functions, and reacting to change is necessary in order to deal with the constantly evolving workplace tempo.

Advice to Management

The Army has a complex mission and leadership does admirably in serving the nation at a time of war, when budget contraints are such a pressing issue.

    Pros

    - Best health care overall.
    - Best retirement plan.
    - Compensation commensurable with length of service and scope of responsibility

    Cons

    - Sacrifice
    - Deployments
    - Occasional poor leadership
    - Occasional long hours, but often offset by multiple four day weekends

    Advice to Management

Continue to be the tip of the spear! The Military, and Army in particular is one of the best places to work and dedicate your career. It is not meant for everyone. The recruiter is the key. Good recruiters can sell this profession, but must truly believe in it!
