US Army – “Challenging environment for self-less leaders.”

Pros

The U.S. Army provides a challenging environment for leaders of character. Experiences to see the world and be challenged are unlimited. To give to something great than yourself and be a leader of young Americans is amazingly rewarding.

Cons

Despite an amazing amount of opportunities for personal development and travel, the unpredictability makes the Army a hard life to sustain if you have ambitions beyond career or a partner who is willing to travel to the ends of the earth for you. It is difficult to pull off a professional working couple relationship.

Advice to Senior Management

Create more sustainable work environment, which of course is dependent upon the nation's defense activities- which will not slow down anytime soon.
