I have been working at US Army full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Promotion, camaraderie, GI Bill. There are a lot of minor stuff you forget, like the PX and other perks. Health care. Most people think you are the best thing since ice cream.

    Cons

A lot... like I got shot. Command can be either a blessing or a curse, and I usually ended up with an idiot in charge. People asking you about Iraq and war and whatnot. We got a failure for a Lt., and it drove all the competent people into the civilian world after the last tour.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All your NCOs aren't stupid. Only some. Treating everyone like they are an idiot will only chase away your most qualified individuals.
