esprit de corps, education opportunities, travel the world, technical training, life-long friendships, valuable experience, good family medical, service to nation

make recruiting about service to nation and less about being a jobs program for the benefits

    Pros

    You get to be a part of an elite group of warrior citizens, train in any field you want- and qualify for, go to college while getting paid, earn advancement totally based on merit and performance. Along with that you earn competitive pay, unparalleled medical coverage, and thirty days of accruable vacation a year. Not counting special pay and bonuses.....

    Cons

    Extended absence from family in the event of a deployment, rigorous physical fitness regimen and requirements.

    Pros

    decent pay, easy advancement opportunities. Chance to see the world and work with a variety of different people.

    Cons

    time away from family and little control on where you get stationed. Some oversees assignments are very dangerous
