I have been working at US Army full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

The Army has lots of opportunity to grow and many places to serve. You will learn so much about yourself and they will show you how to expand your limits.

Cons

Sometimes they send you places without your family and the accomodations are less than plush. Those times make you appreciate your normal life when you get home.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead from the front and reduce the number of breifing sessions.

I worked at US Army full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities for gaining real-world experience if you select the right occupation.
Strong values and culture that promotes teamwork.
The Post 9/11 GI Bill is truly an incredible education benefit to have.
Job stability is generally not an issue.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be extremely difficult for some families. Like any civilian employer, expect to find a few folks that do not follow or lead by the best example.
Job stability does not necessarily mean you will be performing in the occupation that you expected.
Expect to have many, many days, nights, weekends, and even holidays without sleep. (This is especially be the case if/when you are deployed.)
