    Pros

The Army, for the most part, takes care of families. You just have to be willing to wait for the army process (extremely slow) to see these benefits. Also, If you actually like the MOS you're in, the career progression is quite good. GI Bill after you get out. Or transfer your GI Bill benefits to one of your direct dependents.

    Cons

Its a government run organization so idiocy and sheer unorganized chaos abound. Deployments are too frequent. Not enough compensation for deployed soldiers.

    Advice to Management

Actually train soldiers for how the will be used on deployments. Or better yet, stop deploying to countries where we are making little to no difference whatsoever.

    Pros

Good benefits, clean work environment, 401K with match, employee stock purchase plan, onsite occupational health centers, typical Industry holidays and time off in a PTO manner, can be taken with great flexibility depending on manager or pay grade. Leading generic manufacturer in the world.

    Cons

Very cliquey! You can be very popular across many departments, do great work, be loyal to the company, but if 1 manager dislikes you...you are done! Company is heartless in layoffs. The separation agreements state you can NEVER work for them or an affiliate again.

    Advice to Management

Try to become the number 1 place to work again. It is hard to get top employee buy-in, but not impossible. Stop being heartless! Employee satisfaction impacts the bottom line.
