Pros

Steady job during a time of high unemployment. Decent pay, benefits, learning experiences

Cons

Multiple deployments, long time away from home.

    Good pay, and well respected by general public

    Cons

    People do not truly understand the hardships and stress that come from this type of job, nor do they understand the rewarding feeling of serving the Nation without having done it.

    I worked at US Army full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Regular physical training (you get paid to work out), with benefits the pay is comparable to or better than equivalent civilian jobs, excellent benefits, lots of opportunity for career advancement for motivated people, excellent education benefits.

    Cons

    Most likely will have to deploy at least one time in your service contract, Sometimes extended training events can interfere with school.

    Remember that we continually must learn and adapt to our current environment, and motivate those beneath us to do the same.
