I have been working at US Army full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The Army offers excellent life building skills that can be transferred to other jobs later on. There are also a lot of benefits including healthcare, vacation days, tuition assistance, housing allowances and military recreation facilities to name a few.

    Cons

There are obviously some negatives that come with working for the Army. These include separations from family and friends, long deployments and the obvious possibility of injury or death in the line of duty. Also, in the near future the Army will be going through a period of transformation where it expects to reduce its workforce while operating with a limited budget.
