I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people, the mission, the purpose and community. There is a clarity and simplicity that comes from working together for something greater and I truly miss the people who self-select to be a part of that.

    Cons

The losses and hardships that come with war and deployment. Also, the sometimes illogical and wasteful practices and policies that come with large government bureaucracy.
