I have been working at US Army

Pros

Fly best helicpters and work with the finest people to lead.

Cons

Leadership have began a tail spin with lip service supporting troops and families. Sad turn around and taging unwanted in media fat soldiers, tatoo's not to standard, atitude police to correct UNIFORM and attitude issues, civilians must think all departing service are dirt bags. Thanks to an unfeeling unaware leadership that forgot all lessons learned in the 1990's drawdown. Sad to see the pendulum of military moral after an exhaustive war drive go into the toilet.

Advice to Management

Read the lessons of past buget tighting and errors in tagging military negatively in the media. Loss loss leadership style which will return a group of folks wanting to join less than a stellar profile. US military with mordern technologies that's often the tip of the advancments in our 21st century lifestyle. The government will need the best and brightest to support these technologies into the future.

    Pros

With the tax free housing and food allowances and other benefits, it turns out to be very good overall compensation. The working relationships are very close, and the vacation is quite generous. There are opportunities to live in lots of different places including overseas.

    Cons

Sometimes it can seem like the Army owns you. You don't always have as much choice in your career direction as you would like, but usually you get most of what you want. Also, there can be periods of separations from family that are involuntary as well as hazardous duty.

    Advice to Management

I think that overall the Army is a good opportunity for ambitious flexible Nurses.
