I have been working at US Army full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working with enlisted Soldiers, decent reliable pay, very good benefits, and doing honorable and sometimes very important work are the upside. The Army truly does instill values and a hard work ethic in most of the people it accepts and trains.

    Cons

Work life balance is a challenge, whether it be deployments, long hours, days or weeks in the field, poor family healthcare (Tricare), and challenging relationships with mid to senior leaders' personalities can make make or break your experience.
