    Pros

Being an officer is rewarding. Provides many advancement opportunities, travel opportunity, education benefits, and the opportunity to interact with many people from diverse backgrounds. Most rewarding is being able to help Soldiers.

    Cons

Deployments and long hours cause alot of strain on the family life as does having to more every 2-3 years to move to another assignment.

I worked at US Army full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You are paid extra to cover housing and uniforms. The friendships that can be made are ones you can count on. It is a job you can be proud of.

    Cons

Much time can be spent training or deployed away from family. Transitioning out of the service into the civilian world can be rough. Time off can only be taken when everyone else takes it, not just when you want.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More family time would be great.
