I have been working at US Army

Pros

-Be a part of something bigger than yourself
-Help others on a global scale

Cons

-Highly demanding (average of 50hrs a week, even at home station
-At first, the only way to prove yourself is through your Physical Fitness score. This means that idiots with little to no leadership skills or critical thinking skills receive more "atta-boy's" and higher performance evaluations, than those who are far more competent but may only be a generally fit person.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Place less emphasis on whether a leader has a 300+ PT Score and more emphasis on actual performance and willingness of subordinates to follow.
