I worked at US Army full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

30 days a year vacation with pay, medical and dental benefits. Army will send you to training to teach you new job, which may turn into a career. Over all, I think it was a great place to begin to learn about life without the college experience.

Cons

Was a great place to grow as an individual. Coming in the Army at 19 and leaving after 24 years has taught me so much in life. Leadership is what you make of it. Sometimes awesome and sometimes not so much.

I have been working at US Army full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

best career ever. I spent 25 years in the military. I have benefited by increasing my skills and confidence. the leadership and training are some of the best in the world.

    Cons

Some of the skill sets are specialized and not useful in the civilian work place unless they are with contractors that work with the air defense community.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

if someone with 20+ years of military training (especially if a warrant officer or commissioned officer apply s and says they can do the job, consider them for the position as they are highly motivated and well trained leaders.
