I have been working at US Bureau of Land Management

    Pros

flexible work schedule, pay, stable job, made great relationships with coworkers, ability to go out into the field and do work by yourself without anyone watching over your shoulder

    Cons

older employees feel they have more importance over the younger employees, disgruntled employees only need to threaten to write a grievance on management and the issue causing the disgruntled feelings becomes dropped

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't be submissive to those employees that complain and write grievances. over time, they spiral out of control and feel like they run the office because no one keeps them in line

I have been working at US Bureau of Land Management full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Most of the people are good to work with. Never boring - lots of work to keep you busy. Maxi-flex schedule allows you to work extra hours during the week so you can flex out on Friday or Monday. Most jobs are field going, meaning you are outside a lot during the summer.

    Cons

Pay is below average, but benefits are good. Management tends to overlook the slackers and give numerous chances to those who don't deserve it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a backbone and get rid of the people who aren't doing their jobs.
