    Pros

Equal pay for male and females. Also, opportunity for change every 4 years keeps it from getting dull. Working on the water. Opportunity to affect change in your community and sometimes nationwide.

    Cons

Work/life balance is difficult to maintain. Equal pay & advancement opportunities for the both the shining stars and the dim ones. This isn't the same CG that was around a few years ago. We are moving toward more security related operations. Hopefully the Marine Safety and Search and Rescue aspects will not suffer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We need to be certain that we maintain our original mission sets and expertise, even in the face of political pressure.
