    Pros

Looks freat on a resume, people think it sounds cool when they ask where you work.

    Cons

Still basically a good ole' boys club.

    Advice to Management

Promote competent people, not your friends.

  2. Great friendly and diverse working environment

I worked at US Department of Justice as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere, decent pay, and a good amount of diversity in its employees. The employees appeared to be enjoying their work as well as their co-workers. And more importantly, the DOJ cared about its employees. There were always different functions going on to boost company morale.

    Cons

It's a chance for very stable employment. Now while that may seem like a good thing, let me explain. I came across people working in the exact same positions without much upward mobility for 25 years +. But I guess that is typical of a lot of government jobs so I don't know. I just know personally I would like the freedom to branch out a bit.
