    Approves of CEO

I have been working at US Department of State full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Travel, challenging positions and assignments, decent salary and benefits. Depending on the position, you can have significant autonomy and management experience early in your career. You work with intelligent, plugged-in people.

    Cons

The lifestyle can be tough on partners and children. There is a huge emphasis on careerism and ego.

    Advice to Management

Be flexible with families or singles who are caretakers (an increasing number of adults in the U.S.). Stand outside the bubble every now and then and realize that the placement of a water glass at a bilateral is not/not going to affect the outcome.
