I have been working at US Department of Veterans Affairs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Steady employment, great healthcare coverage, giving back to those who served

    Cons

Lots of middle-level bureaucracy, hard to feel like projects ever get approved

    Advice to Management

The VA really needs restructuring from top to bottom. Frankly, ever vet should be given a "VA Care" card and be able to go to any hospital and get reimbursed. Let the private sector take over VA hospitals and VA can then focus on grave sites and benefits.
