I worked at US Department of Veterans Affairs full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

supporting our professional nursing skills to our veterans that are there for any kind of illness and teaching /giving safe instructions to the patients for better health .

Cons

Working with high expectation customer services from the veterans and knowledge certain diseases on how to be a caregiver at the time that is often presented in the acute care health setting .

Advice to Management

Abide with the rules and federal regulations . They need to follow up on the documentation to be sign on every thing that is done in the hospital setting . They need to be professional

    Keep employees better informed, stop depending on the same supervisor to "pass" info. Improve morale, increase telework opportunities, stop random schedule changes, work on weather announcements..
