Not really. The VA is such an important entity for Veterans, the mission and vision seems relevant.

    Pros

    Benefits, time-off, if your in the military part-time you receive 120hrs/year while you go away to train, TSP matches up to 5%, pay is great, you only need 1 license to work at any VA in the US.

    Cons

    HR can be a long process at times to get hired or transferred

    Very political. Whoever is in office determines the workflow. This job can be very frustrating and can get a lot if negative media attention depending on the political climate.
