If I could do it all over again, I'd still choose the VA.

Try to improve the quality of food for the employee, as well as implement affordable pricing. You're almost there.

Great pay & benefits amidst all the red tape

I worked at US Department of Veterans Affairs

    Pros

-Great pay for social services professionals
    -Lots of time off
    -Job stability

    Cons

-Need I say red tape? Younger professionals who are ambitious to create and innovate are often left frustrated by the amount of hoops that need to be jumped over to create change.

-People often play the "that's not my job" game and leave issues / matters unresolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Hire people that make good on their promises and stick to their word.

-Hire people with both an education & experience to do the job - not just because he or she knows someone in the HR or leadership team.

    No opinion of CEO
