I worked at US Immigration and Customs Enforcement full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Work in Detention Enforcement, travel to 57 Countries, work with different Consulates, detained arrested illegals in this country ,work with jails around the country.

Cons

For the last 28 years I worked 24/7 and I am looking for days if possible Its ben hard on family life. Also they have mandatory retirement which its hard on the family and my self.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked with management , acted as shift supervisor when needed.

    THE EXPERIENCE THERE WILL GET YOU TO ANOTHER AGENCY WHERE YOU CAN ADVANCE IN A CAREER FIELD. IT YOU DO NOT GO IN AS AN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER THERE IS LITTLE IF AN CAREER ADVANCEMENT AND IF YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL WITH A TARGETED DISABILITY DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING AS YOU WILL NOT GET HIRED.

    Cons

    Good old boy system. It is all about who you drink and sleep with.

    look at someone's resume with out names, race or sex on it an hire the best person for the job based on their job experience and training.
