Pros

Somewhat of a flexible schedule. That's pretty much it anymore.

Cons

Everything. You name it, it's broken. Compensation, job security, respect from management...all crap. Metrics and statistics are king and no condideration is given to midigating factors such as location of investigator or other contracts worked. USIS employes the GE management model in that everything is an emergency all of the time. There is a constant and nagging underlying current of fear and stress that accompanies each day. Everytime we open our Outlook it's chalk full of msgs stating that we are behind projections, behind on revenue and that too fix it we need 10 hours mandatory overtime each week. This happens the last three weeks out of every month, twelve months a year. Of course at the end of the month, after we meet our goals, we get a short congrats and thanks and begin the process all over again so that our DM's and senior staff can hit their numbers and get their bonus. We get nothing - NOTHING - for hitting the projections set forth by the TL's. I honestly do not know anyone working for the company at an investigator level who is not currently trying to find another job and get the hell out.

Advice to Senior Management

Step back and take the pulse of the field. You are rewarding the highest producers without consideration of the actual quality of work that they do. Specific examples in this region are too many to detail here.
