Pros

Traveling the world, learning new cultures, meeting interesting people and killing them.

Cons

Wolves led by sheep. Leadership is garbage and their fighting spirit is garbage. They're a bunch of boy scouts fiddling with guns, trying to fight wars from a computer screen and neglecting the troops they put on the ground.

Advice to Management

Go up to an 0300 Lcpl, and ask him to show you what balls are.

  2. This duty station has been the best by far for family time and off-duty activities.

    Pros

Benefits of tuition assistance and availability of schools in the local community almost makes it criminal if you don't work on your education while stationed here. The drill schedule has compenstation days factored into the remaining time so there really is time to concentrate on family time and other off-duty activities.

    Cons

There is a certain dichotomy of active component working with and supporting reserve component service members. The drill schedule seems to fall right across important dates in my family's life, which can cause hardship if the kids don't understand why work must come first.
