Pros

MCX is a great asset to the community. It is an employeer I sought out due to its reputation.

Cons

Very unfriendly work environment with little to no information filtering down from top management. Pay raises have bee put on hold for the next two years.

Joining was one of the best decisions I ever made, but it is certainly not perfect.

    Pros

Very likely the strongest sense of camaraderie and pride in any organization. High job security. The Post 9-11 can be a huge draw to those wishing to pursue degrees after serving.

    Cons

The promotion system needs work. The needs of the Corps will always come first. Marriage status has a significant impact on pay and benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Officers should seek to gain the respect of their subordinates through their actions and not simply rely on rank. Follow the Marine Corps Leadership principles, specifically, "know your Marines and lookout for their welfare."

I have been working at US Marine Corps

    Pros

    - Pay is steady and guaranteed
    - Hard work is rewarded in the form of military awards/decorations
    - There is a lot of room to "play" and try new things without the fear of losing your job

    Cons

    - Management is incompetent and not knowledgable, for the most part
    - The job can become very stressful in combat environments when network uptime can mean saving or ending lives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Your enlisted data Marines have been trained in a broad variety of subjects (knowing a little about a lot), they are not highly technically trained and solutions may take a bit longer than you'd like
    - Be patient with the data Marines

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
