    Being a part of something greater than yourself. Molding and mentoring Marines for life long succuess in or out of uniform.

    Pros

    Learn leadership principles that are used in the corporate world first hand.
    Develop great discipline, ethics and motivation.
    Travel, stay in great physical shape and experience a camaraderie like no fraternity can ever come close to.

    Cons

    Long deployments can be harsh on family and or social life.
    Depending on your job you might earn much less then a civilian equivalent position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Introduce early on to marines careers the concepts that what you learn in all military training is actually much better or like some of the best corporate leadership training available, also having the a leaders personality can be helpful but not necessary.
