I worked at US Marine Corps

Pros

The sense of accomplishment in being in the smallest and most elite branch of the US Armed Forces. Helping people in impoverished nations. Helping the community. The brotherhood that forms between your fellow Marines. Being stationed all over the world.

Cons

Long working hours. Long deployments. Stationed all over the world. Very hard work.

I worked at US Marine Corps

    Pros

The benefits cannot be compared! Work was a challenge and satisfying on a daily basis. I got to work with my hands and was never bored.

    Cons

When supervisors show favoritism, there is almost nothing you can do about it. They say it is frowned upon, but it happens often and you can't tell someone that outranks you that they are out of line.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Back up junior Marines when they have an issue with a supervisor better. It took guts to come out and say something. Just because the supervisor is a SNCO, doesn't mean they are a good one. VERY often the supervisor will lie when questioned and then get back at the junior Marine later. Also, have a better anonymous complaint program where people are actually anonymous and not searched for when the complaint is submitted.
