Great place to work if you got the right attitude. Don't apply if you want to be rich.

I have been working at US Marine Corps full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Comradery, steady pay for a comfortable living, health and dental care, tuition assistance, physical fitness programs and most of all being able to serve your country as one of the few and the proud!

    Cons

Leadership can be poor, depending on your specific job it may take a long time to get promoted, if in a relationship it may be difficult on your significant other during training and deployment, waiting for word to be passed, micro management. Oh, there are also alot of budget cuts and downsizing!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. NCO's are the backbone. Give them more responsibility and less micro management. 2. Sometimes "suck it up" is not the best advice to something done.
3.Focus on Marines with family, especially the junior Marines, and make sure they are taken care of.
    4. Give Marines more PME and resources for issues such as sexual health, alcohol abuse, and financial planning.

    Pros

You live and fight for a purpose that is bigger than you. You fight for that little boy you see running around at the park with no care in the world. You fight to keep your family and your brothers next to you safe. It is your duty as an American!

    Cons

The VA's length of time they take with disability claims.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
