Pros

Best leadership training possible. Significant responsibility in any almost any speciaty early on. Varied locations. An opportunity to make a difference and give something back to your country.

Cons

Family life suffers. Can be sent to undesireable locations. Can interfere in personal life. Will deploy. Must adapt to military lifestyle and structure.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to develop leaders and fight to maintain portion of the defense budget that supports personnel.

I have been working at US Marine Corps

    Pros

Job security, paid on the 1st and 15th no matter what. Access to resources, and military discounts. Re-Enlistment bonuses.

    Cons

Being treated like a child despite your age. Being tactlessly cussed out in public from time to time. Barracks conditions are not equal across the board. People being leaders because of accumulated time in service or time in rank instead of leadership skill.
