The Marine Corps can be a double edged sword for your future

Former Employee - Sergeant Logistics Specialist in Camp Pendleton, CA

I worked at US Marine Corps full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Can open many opportunities to you if you try hard. The GI Bill gives you the ability to achieve just about anything you want.

Cons

If you don't have the diligence to push forward after being knocked down the Marine Corps will be very very hard. People that couldn't keep going forward ended up having a really bad 4 years and ended up worse off than when they started the military.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't micro manage your Marines. Give them room to grow and/or fall so they can learn to be good Marines.
