I worked at US Marine Corps full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Getting to fight in afghanistan, and killing taliban. Life experience and great support from an amazing nation.

    Cons

Poor leadership, childish antics. People stay in the Marine Corps for life, but never grow up because they only ever lead kids

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CHANGE OUT ALL UPPER MANAGMENT, swap for all infantrymen, no POGS

I worked at US Marine Corps as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good training for initial contracts

    Cons

in technically demanding jobs only Sgt and lower do the brunt of the work. and most get out. leadership are the ones that cant make it in the real world minus the few good leaders that do it for the right reasons but they are far and few inbetween

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

work on retention of Marines that are extremely proficient in mos but might not be the best at the PT tests
