I have been working at US National Archives and Records Administration part-time

Pros

Went in as a student under the STEP program, which they no longer have. For a college student, the pay was great, and they have flexible scheduling and understand how hard it is to balance work and school. We have workers who only work during the summer, and others who only work one day a week.

Cons

I think this one is dependent on who you are and what section you're hired into. As a member of Search, we had to do exactly that, which meant going through heavy boxes trying to fulfill standards that are almost impossible to make. I can only think of two or three out of our entire office who honestly make standard.
