Not for me

E-5 Submarines (Former Employee)
San Diego, CA

I worked at US Navy

ProsGreat benefits medical dental ect…. Additional the Post 911 GI-Bill will paid for you to go to college after you complete you service that was my main interest in joining.

ConsMicromanaged and Numerous Inefficiencies
There is not a cap on how many hours you can work in a week and no overtime if you go over 40 hours a week. People are promoted based on needs of the Navy not qualifications.

Advice to Senior ManagementI believe the amount of US Navy ships needs to be downsized tremendously and the crew taken from those ships and spread them around Navy to help reduce the cost of the Navy and the work load of the Sailor.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
