Pros

You will work with some of the most advanced equipment from the 1990's that you can ever dream of.

Cons

Not enough vacation time. Who can really only have 30 days of vacation a year.

    I have been working at US Navy full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Serve your country, the opportunity to take all the responsibility for your job, fair salary with no gender bias, wonderful travel opportunities.

    Cons

    Over a career, priorities will change. the move from one duty station to the next used to be exciting, but now is painful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Geographically stabilize assignments. improve career transition options. Increase transparency in selection and promotion boards.
