I have been working at US Postal Service full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Depending on manager, flexibility of schedule and work from home
Plenty of change, room for growth, if you're willing to work for it

    Cons

    Politics involved in everything
Resentment of new hires due to longevity of existing staff
    Stagnant employees and management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to quash the politics and focus on bringing the company back to profitability. This means that all political roadblocks need to be removed. Employees that oppose change need to be handled with a strong hand, not babied. The USPS needs to start thinking like a single company instead a bunch of little kingdoms.
