    Pros

Job security. Yes, they are having some interesting financial times but they aren't subject to the sequester either. There is plenty of chances to check out other positions, right now anyway. They are big on letting people detail into other positions, even if it involves travel, for 30, 60, or 90 days. It gives a chance to try out other jobs.

    Cons

There haven't been raises for 3 years, so the only want to make more money is to get promoted. Promotions don't seem to be abundant. They prefer people lateral into positions so there is no more pay. Slow moving organization as well. Years behind on technology. There is the right way, the wrong way and the Postal way.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times, forget the phrase postalizing, think and act more like a publicly traded company where your job depends on being profitable.
