Pros

Important aspect of the government that actually helps business and stimulates the economy. You can feel good about what you are doing.

Cons

Not working for a private company s tough when you have to carry out the administrative duties that can often be tedious and time consuming while accomplishing very little.

Advice to Management

It would be nice if management would have more of a say in the hiring process of new employees, but not much they can do about it.

    Great people, chance to help people start businesses that change their lives.

    Its government so when Administration changes you tend to reinvent the wheel.

    Advice to Management

    To improve employee moral look to increase the bonus pool to employees outside of Washington. Its not fair for Senior Executive Service employees who many times do not supervise a staff to get the highest performance bonus in the ageny, ranging from 5000-10000 per week, while District Office managers who supervise staff get less than 2000!
