I worked at USAA as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Great mentors, truly intensive experience working on projects

Cons

If you don't like the big corporate atmosphere you may not feel comfortable. They treat you well, very well... but they expect great results from this so there can be some stress and tension depending on your department or projects.

I worked at USAA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good salary, excellent benefits. The on location gym and daycare was so convenient. I was in the Associate Adjuster role and promoted quickly. I felt like a valued employee.

    Cons

The "upselling" requirement to get more members involved in other lines of business. Way too many emails and silly, time wasting meetings.
