I have been working at USAA full-time for more than a year

Pros

1. Company sincerely cares about its members and employees. Proof is evident---follow the money.
2. Company culture
3. Best CEO ever: a man of integrity
4. Committed employees
5. Financially superior
6. Ethical company (seems rare now a days)

Cons

1. Movement through the ranks - need more differentiation between high performers and others
2. speed of growth is causing storming and pressure on the organization - a great "problem" to have.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

1. Slow the pace of change: prioritize and pace
2. Increase enterprise integration (leverage our Pro's -- employees will make it happen)
3. Invest in employee development (not just training classes) and career management esp for Call Center Employees and top performers.
4. Support remote working / workplace flexibility
5. Amazing company to work for now --- more focus on future leadership and culture is a must to keep current superior performance. Past success is starting to cloud judgement.

I worked at USAA full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Excellent company with a genuine focus on serving its members the right way. USAA will always choose the best, most ethical approach in dealing with its membership. It truly lives its motto of "We know what it means to serve." It also is committed to being a technology leader in its field.

    Cons

Sometimes rigid management; employees can become too overly engrossed in USAA matters at the expense of "having a life outside of USAA."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more aware of the work/life balance in employees.
