Don't expect this is a typical academic place. Combination of bad things in industry and academia.

    Pros

I learned a lot about how research works in academia.

I did not get to do a lot of hands on stuff.

    Pros

-benefits are decent for a school system
    -staff are attentive to concerns

    Cons

-good ideas for improving the academic programs or the research funding...but they don't pan out. Seems like the values are there but the logistics and nitty gritty details are where steering committees get mired
