I worked at UT Southwestern Medical Center full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

People are generally nice and wanting to succeed at their jobs. Benefit packages (insurance) are outstanding.

    Cons

Effort and dedication is shown with being patted on the back. Raises are scarce, if you are lucky to get one. You are working for the government, so everything will take ten times longer if you are seeking approval on anything. Pay is atrocious.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good luck. Turnover has and will always remain high as long as the chance for advancement is slim, and raises for "outstanding performance review[s]" are set at close to 4 percent.
