I have been working at Ulta Beauty part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    -Amazing co-workers
    -Good discount
    -Many part time positions available.
    -Works well with other jobs
-Always busy, even on slow days

    Cons

-It's retail...you can only do it for so long
-Unless in Management (which has very few positions) it's impossible to live off your own salary.
-Ability to move up in the company, if willing to travel.
-All positions are part time unless your a GM, assistant manager, or salon management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train the employees more thoroughly. I'm a lead cashier and find myself training employees on things management should have covered during training.

I worked at Ulta Beauty part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You receive a nice discount on the high end beauty and skin care products. This also includes discounts for the hair salon, facials and the brow bar for locations that have these services.

    Cons

Extremely poor pay, as well as not enough hours. Only the managers have full time hours so there is no opportunity for employee benefits unless you are full time.
When it is the end of your shift you could stand around for 10 to 15 minutes waiting for the manager to check your bag so you could leave the premises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of having so many part time workers working 10 hours a week it would make sense to offer more hours and hire people who are willing to work 20 to 30 hours a week and reduce the turnover.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
