Pros

Flexibility in balancing work and home responsibilities
Benefits package is good
Coworkers are great
Immediate management is great
Ice Cream Thursdays!

Cons

Lack of communication from senior management
Lack of "people skills" of senior manager
No raises for the past 2 years (and no notice that were going to be no raises this year)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Once upon a time, ULCM used to be like family; you were appreciated, treated fairly and always knew what was going on. Today, that is no longer the case. Little information makes it down to the front-line workers. Employee Satisfaction Surveys? I guess that you don't want to hear what you don't want to hear. Senior management seems to be padding their own wallets at the expense of the company and it's employees. Huge salary increases and bonuses seemed to be based on the thinking of "How much can we get away with" instead of being tied to company goals or objectives. Retention incentives? Please, do us all a favor and leave to make room for management that gives a damn.

Let's get this company sold so that we can "flush" the senior management and start anew.

    - lack of culture of accountability
    - bureaucracy, incompetency overshadow competencies

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Goals/Bonus structure approved by Board for senior management are designed to reward senior management without much accountability towards improving the top or bottom line. Board needs to seriously think about deciding on solid corporate goals that will drive company growth and tightly aligning sr. management compensation to the core corporate goals.
