Could have been a positive experience had original hiring manager remained.

I worked at UniFirst

Pros

training is very solid, but not in the actual branch locations. True training is in Boston. My experience at the branch level was a negative. I actually think I lost a few IQ points. Hard to believe but true.

Cons

Sales management was poor. Very poor.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dont be afraid of the up and comers . Dont't sabotage them for your own sake. Man.-up.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Indian Orchard, MA

    I worked at UniFirst

    Pros

    Company provides:
    -Salary is $42,000
    -Car gas is $150/week
    -Cell phone is $55/month

-Overall, you make $50,000/ year with all combined after your sales certification is complete (about 6 weeks).

    Cons

Tricky to close a prospect once you have an interested client because more than half of business that have a need for a uniform program already have a uniform program, so before you can sell the service, you have to get them out of their current one...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide ongoing management after the sales rep completes the certification to allow them to reach their full potential, rather than fire them right before their 90 day probationary period for not having a close yet.
